*Walks into dealer* Yeah, I am interested in an Epsilon II in a SWB, but I'll look at a Theta AWD to compare. What do you have?

Sales person: "Uuuuuuuhhhhh...."
I'd imagine a big long line of confusion from every level of personnel at that dealer.

Did you really can the Safari and got an M3? I must have missed.

The Safari is still around, but I do now own/daily a '98 M3 sedan.

Any costly stuff to do to it so far? (yet)

Refreshing the suspension has been the most expensive so far. Just a lot of maintenance stuff that was ignored by the previous owner needed to be done for the most part.

Kind of expected for a '98. Not that unusual. My son looked at an older BMW a Couple/3 years ago. I persuaded him to buy a Ford or Chevy cause he is still in school and is not mechanical.

I have to admit I was a bit nervous going into it reliability wise, but two months in and nothing has popped up yet other than light bulbs going out.

TIL that GM still makes the Cimarron (serious brain fart, thank you Logansteno), only they call it the ELR. Thank you, Oppo.
Also: GM and Nissan in a badge engineering partnership?! No wonder I hate recent Nissans. They used to be awesome, too.

Except the Catera was a RWD sedan that was powered by a V6 and the ELR is a FWD coupe powered by a Voltec hybrid system.

Now I feel dumb. I meant a Cimarron. Blocking it out of my mind was a bad plan.

Just because the ELR is built on the Cruze platform doesn't mean it is anywhere close to what that POS J-Body Cavalier with a Cadillac crest on the front was.
Also, the City Express is the only thing Nissan and GM have relations on I think.

Looks good, now add GM's non-American offerings. GM's South America and China divisions are a nightmare to figure out.
